Fresh email received:

“This is your motor tax reminder. Please retain as you will not receive a renewal notice in the post.

Motor Tax for your GREY MITSUBISHI OTHER expires on the last day of JULY 2016 .”

Better tax my Other before then, assuming the alarming creaking noise from the right rear isn’t terminal...

Have an Other.

I hope the creaking doesn’t have anything to do with the rust, because it needs to stay alive!

That’s an awesome Mitsubishi FTO Other you’ve got there. ^_^

I’ve always had a thing for these despite normally not liking Japanese cars....

What’s an FTO? All I see is an other.

Do you know how many FTO’s there are in Ireland. My guess is not many.

Well, there are just over 200 on the road in the UK according to this so assuming the number here in proportion to population - something between ten and twenty.

Me too. Every year the garage expects it to fail the test.

And every year it has proven them wrong, otherwise you wouldn’t still be driving it. So it doesn’t seem like the garage does a good pass/fail prediction.

Strange, I live in the UK and these cars are very common locally. There’s usually at least one on the roads every few weeks and always a few for sale.

Well, it’s going in for repairs tomorrow ( I had to buy a new exhaust section to be fitted) so we’ll see!

These look kind of cool but they are just a fwd mitsubishi. I don’t see why people like them. Of the top 100 cars you can import from Japan I don’t think this would even make my 100 list.

While RWD can be great there are tons of FWD cars that are very fun to drive.

This is true, but in that category i’m thinking Integra Type R, Accord Euro R, Honda Civic R, CRX SiR, Alfa Romeo 156, Sentra SE-R, Lotus Elan, OMNI GLHS, Focus ST/RS, Fiesta ST, Renaultsports, peugeots, etc. FTO isn’t something that comes to mind. I don’t think it’s on anyones list other than “cars from Gran Turismo I don’t know much about”. I think people only care about it because of that game.

This is even a car way down on the list of cars in general from Mitsubishi. Starion, classic Galants, GTO, Evo, Starion, Eterna.....
